Keep neighboring panels connected
The editor composes two-page spreads from polygon panels. Neighboring panels share vertices, while convexity and overlap checks reject invalid edits. Gutters use perpendicular offsets so diagonal boundaries retain their intended spacing.
Artwork is positioned independently of the frame that clips it. That separation lets an author reshape a panel without silently moving the image, and provides explicit controls for crop, scale, and alignment.
Treat lettering as content
Speech, thought, whisper, shout, radio, and caption styles have distinct shapes and editable tails. Text fits inside its container, with an overflow notice when it cannot fit at the minimum size. Dialogue is not silently discarded.
The editor also supports panel splitting and merging, image-library placement, undo, reading mode, and JSON round trips. SVG exports embed images; PNG exports provide a raster result.
Planning markers are excluded from final exports. That small distinction keeps an author's composition aids from accidentally becoming part of the artwork delivered to readers.
Separate authoring from generation
Image generation can produce rough cuts and help slice a page, but detection is explicitly a starting point. Angled or obscured borders need manual correction. The document model keeps the author in control of panel geometry and lettering, while hosted accounts own their settings and image resources and provider credentials remain encrypted on the server.
